<p>The brakes slam on. Wherever you were on this particular road to realizing your goals, you’re parked now and going nowhere fast. All because of some negative self-talk.</p>

<p>Nope. You can’t let it end that way. It’s time to re-write the script and get moving again. It’s the negative self-talk that needs to stop in its tracks, not you.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>How? Check out these handy tips for some quick and easy success:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Do A Reality Check: </strong>When you hear the negative thoughts, ask yourself if this is really what the truth of the matter is. Are you ‘always’ late or just ‘sometimes’? Negative self-talk tends to exaggerate.</li>
<li><strong style="color: var(--p-color); font-family: var(--p-font-family); font-size: var(--p-font-size); letter-spacing: var(--p-letter-spacing);">Soften the Blow: </strong>Reword something negative into something a little more passable if you can’t figure out the positive counterpart. For example, thinking, “I cannot possibly finish on time” might become, “I will finish this project, and even if it’s late, it will be okay because I talked to my boss about it.”</li>

Or next week? Or next year? A lot of negative self-talk is focused so much on the here and now. We tend to forget how little these words will matter outside of today. Brush off the things which have no bearing on your future.</li>

With this in mind, simply tell yourself to stop when you hear negative thoughts. Force yourself to think about something different. If the negative thinking comes up again, tell it quite firmly to disappear again. Keep doing this until it goes away and stays away.</li>

<p>You can usually keep them functioning well by using gentle, natural methods or following your doctor’s recommendations if you develop a deficiency. Learn more about your happy hormones and how to make them work for you.</p>

                <![CDATA[<p>There's a huge difference between sleeping and resting. It's possible for you to go to sleep at night, but wake up feeling like a train ran over you.</p>
<p>That's because your sleep wasn't restful. Your goal is to sleep soundly when your head hits the pillow.</p>
<p>If you're unable to achieve that feat, then it might help you to assess what you're doing - or not doing!</p>
<p>Use these steps to prepare yourself for quality rest each and every night:</p>
<ol>
<li style="line-height: 1.7;"><strong>Digest in advance</strong>. Late night eating is often a precursor to sleepless nights! In order to eliminate its negative effect, try eating your last meal several hours before bedtime. Some foods are more difficult to digest than others. Those are the ones to stay away from at night. Stick to simple, digestible dinner options and eat them as early as possible. Avoid heavy meats and creamy dishes. In the event you get a little hungry later on, go for a cup of calming tea with an engligh muffin. This isn't the time for a giant sized bowl of ice cream!</li>
<li style="line-height: 1.7;"><strong>Dim lights and lower sounds.</strong> As you get closer to bedtime, it's a good idea to lessen unnatural light and intrusive sounds. Light and sound keep the mind constantly active. Then, your body tends to feel like it needs to stay awake because of all the activity stimulating the brain. If you watch television at night, turn off the overhead light. Use a lamp instead, so your brain isn't working overtime to process all the brightness. Try to watch TV at a lower volume at night than in the daytime. You'd be surprised how easily the brain is impacted by what's happening around you!</li>
<li style="line-height: 1.7;"><strong>Unwind your mind</strong>. Relaxation is one of the key elements to a restful night's sleep. Reserve time before bed to clear your mind. This makes the difference between sound sleeping and ongoing nightmares! What makes you relax? Is it fifteen minutes soaking in the tub enjoying a <strong><a href="/{{pageId:57}}">soothing crackling candle</a></strong>? or working on your hobby? Whatever it is, squeeze it into your end-of-day routine. Exercise is a fantastic way to unwind your mind. Even though your body is engaged throughout your workout, you'll be tired and overtaken by complete relaxation afterwards. Spend some time watching relaxing programs on TV, or engage in some light reading. It's a great way to get your mind off the stresses of the day.</li>
<li style="line-height: 1.7;"><strong>Embrace quiet time. </strong>Make an effort to lie in bed before falling asleep. Take a moment or two to listen to pure silence or relaxation music. That's the state you want to be in while you're asleep. Quiet moments help release distracting thoughts from your mind. This is also the best way to regroup and think about what's important. Usually, you'll find yourself thinking about your family and other loved ones. You owe it to yourself to have a restful night's sleep. Your mind and body perform much better when you get sufficient rest. Once you commit to this routine, you'll be in a better position to rest well every single night.</li>

                <![CDATA[<p>Self-care may sound like something in neverland for you right now and I get it. </p>
<p>It's hard to even think about relaxing and unwinding; when you barely even have enough time to get through your daily schedule.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Stress doesn't have to become your new normal. Even though the past 18 months may have thrown you into situations where you don't really have a choice.</p>
<p>Here are 3 tips to help you manage through the chaos and overwhelm.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>​<strong>1. Chunking out your day</strong><strong>:</strong> make out a list of things you MUST do - and not everything on your never ending to-do list. </p>
<p>Then break out your day into 3 chunks, something like this:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Mornings:</strong> 3-4 hours allocated to the most important things that need to get done. </li>
<li><strong>Afternoons:</strong> another 3-4 hours which includes allocating time for a break (yes, please take breaks!). Then allocate another set to moderate/light tasks that need to be completed. Throw in any extra's on your list you think you might still have some energy left for.</li>
<li><strong>Evenings</strong>: 2-3 hours allocated to domestic work and planning the next day. Family time, cooking or prepping meals etc.</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>2. Get ruthless with your list: </strong> Do your intense, brain draining tasks in the mornings. Something I call being "top heavy" with your day.</p>
<p>Where you tackle your most unappealing tasks in the mornings, from zoom meeting on zoom meetings, to replying to pesky emails, writing reports, completing course work, grocery shopping, meal prep, name it!</p>
<p>Doing these first frees up your mental and emotional energy to take on the smaller less overwhelming tasks, making them feel like a breeze as you get through them later in the day. </p>
<p>You'll also feel motivated and accomplished since you have big things to check off your to do list half way through the day.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>3. Carve out a TO DON'T list</strong>: Take any left overs from your daily task list, which don't have to be done by you or anytime in the near future and delegate them or plan them in to another day. </p>
<p>Certain chores or tasks could be sucking the life out of you so get some paid help if you can afford to do so. Or enlist the kiddo's or other members of your family, or friends to help out. </p>
<p>While this may not be a one size fits all approach, it's a good start.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Create your own variation of what you think will work best for you and get ruthless with your schedule.</p>
<p>The bottomline is to remain in control of your day and iff you don't set boundaries around your schedule, no one else will.</p>

<p>Otherwise, with a long workday and commute, you might hardly see them during the week.<br><br>Some studies have found that the average family spends less than 40 minutes together on weekdays.</p>

<p>However, they usually try to catch up on weekends when family time expands to about 3 hours. Other studies show that even a few minutes of togetherness sprinkled throughout the day can strengthen family ties. Small gestures make a big difference.<br><br><strong>Here are some tips on how to nurture the important relationships in your life by maximizing quality time.</strong><br><br></p>
<p><strong>Maximizing Quality Time with Your Kids: </strong>Kids will always be kids and they always get our attention one way or another. <p><strong>1. Be realistic about what you want to accomplish in a day.</strong></p>
<p>If you set a goal of completing 30 tasks in a day and you only finish 10 of them, you probably won't feel very productive.</p>
<p>Your goals should be achievable and make sense within the parameters of your life.</p>

<p><strong>2. Wake up earlier</strong></p>

<p>If a task is no longer relevant, it's okay to let it go.</p>

<p>Are you trying for unattainable goals that you aren't really passionate about? Do you quickly give up on your goals? It can be easy to get discouraged, but you don't have to end up there!<br><br>With the right strategies, you can set goals that really matter to you and meet them more easily than you ever imagined.<br><br>Most importantly, your goals should be yours and not someone else's. The goals that your parents, friends, and family members have for you may not be the same goals you have for yourself.<br><br><strong>What's Important to YOU?</strong><br>Too many people set goals to be rich, write a best-selling novel, or marry someone who's famous, wealthy, or otherwise important or influential. If those are truly your dreams, there's nothing wrong with them.</p>

<p>However, if they're just society's dreams - and not yours - let them go, and think about what really matters to you. What do you REALLY want?<br>When you're setting goals, stop and ask yourself, "What will bring me joy, beauty and happiness?"<br><br><strong>Your goals might include things like:</strong></p>

<li>Starting your own business</li>
<li>Changing careers</li>
<li>Helping others</li>
<li>Buying your own home</li>
<li>Being physically fit</li>
<li>Spending more time with your family</li>

<li><strong>Take action toward your goal every day:</strong> Each day, find something you can do that will bring you a little closer to meeting your goal. When challenges arise, getting discouraged won't change anything, so seek solutions that can put you back on track. Just stay focused and adjust your plans as necessary.</li>
<li><strong>Be open to change: </strong>Your goals aren't set in stone. If you choose to change what you're focused on and set a new goal, that doesn't mean you've given up on your goals. It only means you've seen that your goals need to change, just as you change. That's a sign of growth and wisdom.</li>
<li><strong>Set realistic timelines:</strong> Some goals can be met in a day or a week, but larger goals often take months or years. When you set goals, it's important to be realistic about how long you expect them to take. If it's too far away, you might procrastinate, or you may not start at all. If it's too soon, you'll be frustrated and discouraged if you don't make your deadline.</li>
<li><strong>Chunk it down: </strong>Another great way to reach your goals is to divide big goals into smaller achievable goals. Each small goal is one step, or one task, on the way to achieving your ultimate goal.  Set individual deadlines for these small steps. This way, you'll always be moving forward, one step at a time. For example, if your goal is to own your own business, there are things you'll need to look into like licensing, income, credit, location, and others. Each one of these tasks is one step. You could also subdivide these steps into even smaller goals.</li>
<li><strong>Avoid giving up:</strong> Many people give up on their goals just before they reach them, not even realizing how close they were.</li>
</ol>
<p>Never give up! You may be closer than you think.<br><br>These strategies will enable you to not only reach your goal but also enjoy the journey along the way - all without feeling overwhelmed!</p>

<p>We have so much to be grateful for and it's a perfect time to reflect on all the things we've enjoyed and accomplished over the past few months.</p>

<p>Even the small things we sometimes take for granted…time with friends and family, health, love and happiness.</p>

<p>If your year hasn't turned out the way you hoped it would be, hang in there! Things will surely get better.</p>

<p>And as we get closer to the Christmas and New Year celebrations, <a href="https://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2006/12/holiday-stress.pdf">studies</a> have shown that holiday stress particularly affects more women who take on tasks from preparing meals, decorating the home, shopping for gifts etc. than men. </p>

<p>So don't forget to take a few moments to pause, relax and breathe amidst all the chores, prepping dinners and cleaning up.</p>

This can be a good gauge of your mental health. Those with significant mental health issues often neglect their grooming. It’s important to look and feel your best each day. Healthy diet.</strong> It’s hard to rise above the quality of food you put into your body. Even with conflicting diets and advice out there, you have a good idea of what foods are healthy and which aren’t. <p>Eco Luxury Spa offers a wide range of premium candles, spa and beauty treats in thoughtfully curated subscription boxes.  Our candles are made with coconut and apricot crème, which is soft, creamy and gorgeous textured wax made from - you guessed right! coconut and apricots. <p>All our candles are made with pure ingredients, toxin-free and with zero additives. Our wooden wicks are also lead-free and harvested from fruit trees that are sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mills, with these hand-crafted wicks being entirely manufactured in the USA.</p>
<p><strong>The Environment:</strong> We don't sweat the small stuff when it comes to our packaging, which is why our products are curated and packaged with the environment in mind. We can proudly say they are environmentally friendly, with a minimal carbon footprint.</p>
<p><strong>Our Superior Standards:</strong> Our products are only made from the highest and the best quality ingredients and are produced with superior standards to ensure your safety and satisfaction with every purchase.</p>
